If you're cooking fish at home and want a ready-made seasoning blend, Zatarain's Lemon Pepper Fish Fri is a corn-based breading mix with real lemon flavour and gluten-free certification. This 12 oz pack coats fish for deep frying, pan frying or baking. You control the thickness by adjusting the ratio of milk and egg in your batter.
The same mix works on vegetables—squash, courgette, aubergine and okra all take the coating. Each batch requires standard pantry ingredients and basic kitchen equipment.
