Gel food colouring is a concentrated alternative to liquid dyes, designed to tint frosting, fondant, royal icing, dough and batter without thinning them. Wilton's 1 oz. bottle uses a formula potent enough that a toothpick dab colours most batches, and shades can be blended for custom hues.
This copper variant mixes into buttercream, Swiss meringue, fondant and modelling chocolate. Because gel contains less water than standard food colouring, it won't affect texture or consistency. The bottle's fine-tipped applicator makes dosing precise and straightforward.
